Tim Goodwin, a barrister at the Victorian Bar and member of the Yuin people of the South East Coast of New South Wales, says it's an exciting time to be caring for Country.
Tim practices primarily in commercial and public law. Tim was one of the Junior Counsel Assisting the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory. Prior to joining the Bar, Tim worked at Allens as a solicitor for three years in commercial litigation, and in banking and finance.
Listen to Tim's live interview on 3KND on Wednesday 27th May as part of our partnership series: Caring for Country.
The day is significant. The 27th May is the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum in which Australians voted overwhelmingly to amend the Constitution to allow the Commonwealth to make laws for Aboriginal people and include them in the census.
